Ian Cappelli is a poet specializing in the prose poem, the fragment, and the consubstantiation of the two. He also often works in invented prosimetric forms.
​
A PhD candidate in Creative Writing (poetry) at the University of Denver, he received his MFA from George Mason University, where he served as the 2021/2022 thesis fellow. He is currently a poetry / translations editor at Denver Quarterly.
​​
He is the author of two chapbooks, most recently Another Longue Durée from Vallum​.
